Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed characterization through test development and automation of QuantumFilmTM image sensors
  • Work with process, design, and production teams to characterize new designs/processes and suggest new experiments
  • Automate test program for wafer level testing through software scripts (C++/Matlab), prepare test descriptions
  • Perform test result analysis, optimize characterization procedure to target specific fail mechanisms
  • Improve and create characterization methodologies based on customer and market requirements
  • Work with process, systems and design teams to solve yield issues related to pixel/sensor/camera performance

Requirements

  • MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on industry experience in characterization of CMOS pixel/sensors
  • Experience with layout/simulation tools or analog/digital design is a plus
  • Knowledge of CMOS circuits, CMOS fabrication, device physics and basic optics involved in CMOS image sensors
  • Detailed knowledge of CMOS sensor characterization methodologies, including photon-transfer-curve (PTC), QE, dark current, PRNU, DSNU, read noise floor, MTF, angular response, image lag
  • 3+ years programming experience with Matlab/C++/LabView/Python
  • Excellent communication and data presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Work with multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop new semiconductor and optoelectronic device concepts
  • Translate device specifications into a device design based on real materials parameters
  • Participate in planning and design of experiments to test and implement device concepts

Requirements

  • PhD in materials science, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related discipline
  • Expertise in designing and characterizing optoelectronic devices based on multilayer stacks of thin film semiconductors
  • Strong intuition for how process variations affect the optoelectronic properties of thin film semiconductors
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of non-traditional semiconductors, such as metal oxides, metal chalcogenides, nanostructured materials and organics
  • Experience with the characterization of physical, electrical and optical properties of thin film semiconductors
  • Experience with optoelectronic device simulation software is a plus (e.g. TCAD)
  • Must have good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment

  • Hands-on laboratory role to optimize the QuantumFilm deposition process
  • Interface between R&D and Manufacturing to transfer and scale up processes
  • Design experiments to drive revolutionary improvements in QuantumFilm performance metrics
  • Present technical results to engineering teams and management
  • Coordinate with quantum dot synthesis team and device integration engineers
  • Drive new materials from external suppliers

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry
  • 3+ years of hands-on laboratory experience in solution-phase deposition of nanoparticle or composite thin films
  • Air-free chemical synthesis experience is a plus
  • Expertise in state-of-the-art nanoscale materials analysis
  • Strong familiarity with processing hardware and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level proficiency with Excel and database applications
  • Matlab and statistical analysis experience is a plus
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Optimize QuantumFilm and thin film materials stack using DOE methodology to drive revolutionary improvements in performance metrics
  • Responsible for process development on R&D and Manufacturing tools for current generation and next-generation products
  • Link semiconductor process, device, and materials interactions
  • Interface between quantum dot synthesis, device integration and characterization teams
  • Present technical results and new project ideas to senior management

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry
  • 5-10+ years of R&D or manufacturing experience in optoelectronics, displays, large area semiconductors, organic or solid-state photovoltaics
  • Recognized as an expert within their field
  • Expertise in state-of-the-art nanoscale materials analysis
  • Proven communication skills throughout all level of an organization
  • Experienced with Excel, Matlab, JMP, MES apps, DOE methods and statistical data analysis
  • Interested in working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • International travel may be required

  • Interface between Foundry and R&D to support product delivery schedule
  • Work with R&D team to transfer and scale-up process
  • Optimize nanoparticle production tools in cooperation with external vendors
  • Support quality control, product certification, and Continuous Improvement Program
  • Support logistics for materials supply chain tracking
  • Drive cost reductions and yield improvement

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
  • 3+ years of chemical synthesis production technology and process development experience. Nanomaterial experience preferred
  • Familiarity with process equipment and chemical analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Excel and MES process and data tracking familiarity
  • International travel may be required
